Tom Loveland

Founder and CEO

With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Tom Loveland is a trusted licensed insurance agent dedicated to helping clients achieve their retirement goals. Since 1998, Tom has made it his mission to educate and empower individuals, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to retire with confidence and security.

Tom’s approach is rooted in personalized guidance. He takes the time to understand each client’s unique history, goals, and aspirations. As he often says, “All of my clients have worked hard toward their retirement goals, and I love that I can show them how well they’ve done—and how they can continue to thrive.”

Tom believes that retirement planning should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. His philosophy, “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should,” reflects his commitment to tailored strategies that align with each client’s specific needs. By educating clients on what they have, what it means, and how to use it effectively, Tom helps turn retirement dreams into reality.

A Proven Track Record

Before entering the insurance industry, Tom honed his management skills at a Fortune 500 company. He later transitioned to the insurance sector, where he served as a district manager for one of the largest privately owned insurance companies and eventually became vice president of an insurance marketing organization. These roles allowed him to work closely with both agents and consumers, giving him a unique perspective on the industry and inspiring him to focus on making a meaningful difference in clients’ lives.

Tom’s passion for helping others stems from a deeply personal place. His mother’s experience of losing her retirement savings due to poor financial advice became the driving force behind his career. Today, he shares her story in his seminars to emphasize the importance of sound financial planning and to inspire others to take control of their futures.

A Commitment to Community

Tom is not only dedicated to his clients but also to giving back to the community. A high-energy individual with a great sense of humor, he has been actively involved in charity work for decades. As a master of ceremonies (MC) for some of the West Coast’s largest fundraising events, Tom has helped raise millions of dollars for causes close to his heart. His philanthropic efforts include:

  • The Love Ride (15+ years) – The largest one-day motorcycle fundraiser in the world.  Benefiting many charities including The Muscular Dystrophy Foundation as well as Reading by 9, which is a youth based focused group on education.
  • Bikers Against Diabetes (BAD RIDE) (8-10 years) – Supporting diabetes research and awareness.
  • St. Jude Cancer Center – Contributing to life-saving research.
  • Olivecrest Children’s Services – Supporting at-risk youth and families.

Tom has also been a key figure in events such as the Tournament of Roses’ Wine and Roses Black Tie Dinner, the 3-Day Lobster Festival in Redondo Beach, and numerous other charity events across California.

A Life Well-Lived

Outside of work, Tom is an avid off-roader, Road/Mountain bike rider, gardener, and cook. He’s a family man, happily married for over 30 years, and a proud father to three children. The Loveland household is also home to a lively array of pets, including two dogs, cats, a tortoise and he also raises chickens as a way to relax.

Tom’s passion for life, combined with his expertise and dedication to his clients, makes him a standout professional in the financial services industry. Whether you’re planning for retirement or seeking guidance on your financial future, Tom Loveland is here to help you every step of the way.

When not working, Deanna enjoys traveling and trying new things–she’s also in two bands, a classic rock band and a band that specialized in the Bossa Nova style called Bossa Linda. Lastly, of course, she loves spending time with her friends, family, and pets–She and Tom have a menagerie of pets: cats, dogs, a tortoise, bearded dragons, koi and other fish. She also enjoys, however, the camaraderie around the office; at Loveland Insurance Services, we’re more than clients, we’re like a family.

Seleste is personable and cheerful. When not helping clients, she spends her a lot of her time with her family, watching sporting events (especially baseball), and listening to Broadway.
